OPXtras: Quality of Life Patches

The OPXtras are a series of quality of life patches which optionally affect the inner solar system in several ways, offering new challenges and alleviating old annoyances. OPXtras currently include three modules, each of which does different things.

CORE: Provides the option to modify the arrangement of Kerbin's moon system in several ways, and Eve's orbital inclination and rotation period.

ATMOSPHERES: Provides several optional rewritten atmosphere nodes for Moho, Eve, Duna, and Laythe.

IMPROVEDKERBOL: Provides two options for an improved Kerbol appearance.

Complete features by affected body:

Kerbol

• KerbolCharacteristics Main Sequence option shrinks the Sun by roughly 4 times
• KerbolCharacteristics Subgiant option significantly reddens the Sun to what it should be given its size and luminosity
• Regardless of whether either option is enabled, Kerbol now has a latitudinal biome map and a new displayName

Moho

• MohoAtmoChallenge adds an extremely rareified exosphere to cause you heating problems

Eve

• EveLongDay setting drastically increases Eve's rotation period and makes it retrograde
• EveInclinationFix setting decreases Eve's orbital inclination around the Sun
• Four levels of EveAtmoChallenge allow an atmospheric pressure of 5 (stock), 15, 50, or 93 atmospheres, depending on your preference

Kerbin

• Orbit now has extremely slight eccentricity, like Earth does

Mun

• Optionally can move farther out in the Kerbin system, to roughly where Minmus is. This makes Kerbolar eclipses possible again when Kerbol is smaller, but forces Minmus out of the system.

Minmus

• Three options for where it can be moved: Stock (if MunRelocation is disabled), Trojan (Kerbin's L4), and Hilda (outer asteroid belt) with science values increased appropriately. If Mun moves, Stock position is not an option
• MinmusResize optionally shrinks it to 40 km radius

Duna

• DunaAtmoChallenge optionally drastically thins out Duna's atmosphere to be closer to that of Mars

Laythe

• LaytheAtmoChallenge optionally thickens Laythe's atmosphere. Identical to the setting of the same name found in JoolPlus
